Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
Roosevelt Elementary is offering an extended opportunity for English Learners in grades Kinder- 6th to strengthen their Language Development and prepare them for the 2021 ELPAC Assessment.
Our TITLE III Virtual Academy for English Learners will provide extensive practice on the tasks for each of the assessment domains, as well as strategies that will allow them to perform better in each of those tasks. Our goal is to offer support to our students for the language state exam (ELPAC) that will take place in March. As well as for our students to become proficient in English.
Our virtual program will run from February 16th through June 10th, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00-4:00pm; a total of 32 sessions.
We strongly recommend your child attends this intervention in order to be able to reclassify before they leave elementary. Attendance and participation play a major role in your child’s success therefore we encourage you to support us by having your child log into their virtual Google classroom on assigned days.
If you would like your son/daughter to participate, please fill out the Google Intervention Form or contact your child's teacher so he/she can added your son/daughter to the academy class rosters.
